Tracklements Supplier of the Year Award goes to onion grower Goldwood Moulton.
Continuing its strive to use the best British grown ingredients, Tracklements has awarded their prestigious Supplier of the Year Award to its onion supplier, Goldwood Moulton. The Lincolnshire based grower is a major producer, packing 1700t per week, but most importantly for Tracklements, has the ability to select onions which are either too big, too small or too ‘who knows what’ for the UK supermarket sector. This ensures that there is zero wastage in the growing and packing process – something that scored highly on Tracklements selection criteria, which included provenance, quality and environmental impact. Forging close links with farmers and growers has always been at the top of Tracklements priorities, and this enables sustainable and long term supply relationship.
As a leading grower of onions, Goldwood Moulton represents the Best of British, having pioneered the harvest and drying process immediately after the second world war. Still privately owned, it aligns well with Tracklements on a number of levels, such as its Red Tractor, LEAF and BRC accreditation, but most particularly in its persistent pursuit of quality.
